Yes, I know, I’ve been terrible at updating this site. BUT, to make up for it, I’m going to provide you with a link to Bakerella who consistently has the cutest baking ideas. Take a look at how to make cupcake pops here. Now, mine aren’t nearly as amazing as hers but to be fair, this was my first attempt.

Made these for my dear friend Stephanie’s baby shower. Stephanie, being the patient, surprise loving gal she is, is waiting until the big day to find out if Auntie Christine is having a niece or nephew added into the mix. So, pink, purple and blue cupcake pops were made to celebrate.

The majority of the cupcakes had Scooby Snacks on them which are graham crackers shaped like dog bones that say “Scooby” on them. Precious! There was also the centerpiece which was modeled after Scooby’s dog tag that was re-worked to incorporate Tyler’s initials made of fondant. Also made a couple with sugar versions Scooby’s mug on them. A totally edible spread.

In addition to the decorations, I thought four year olds might appreciate having a fun cupcake to bite into so threw a little tye dye into it:

Congrats go out to Mia and Tom! They were married on the 15th of August and were gracious enough to invite me to create their cupcakes. I had a great time making these and the house was filled with the scent of cupcakes for days and days. No complaints there!

I’m overjoyed with the outcome and hope you enjoy the pictures as well.

For this one of a kind cupcake tier, we assembled together several plates and platters using coffee mugs as supports. It was then epoxied together and easily supported the cake topper and the cupcakes that went out for display.

This weekend we celebrated the birthday of my very good friend Tina (aka Annette) with BBQ, laughter and of course, some cupcakes. These were a new recipe I came up with the night before. Devils Food with Cookies n’ Cream frosting and topped with an Oreo cookie!
